My art making is hands-on.

Children across the globe draw sceneries with triangle mountains, round sun, a wavy river flowing through the mountain and a small hut. Seldom do we inhabit such pristine landscapes in the real world.

One of my favourite mediums is collage. I begin my landscapes with clutter. Since I live in the world’s most cluttered cities; Mumbai, I do not have to go far to collect clutter, junk and discarded papers and fabrics. Once I have a pre-constructed cluttered landscape, I gradually begin to de-clutter and deconstruct by removing the obstructing views and by stripping down the imposing structures. Further, I re-construct the landscapes by reordering, editing and adding.
